To reach the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage in Rambukkana from Kandy, take a tuk-tuk from the city center. You can find tuk-tuks near Kandy Lake or the Kandy Bus Stand. Inform the driver that you want to go to Pinnawala. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. The driver will take you directly to the entrance of the orphanage.

From Kandy, head to the Kandy Bus Stand, which is located near the city center. Look for the bus heading to Pinnawala or Rambukkana. Buses are frequent, but confirm with the staff which bus is going to your destination. The ride takes about 1 hour. Get off at the Pinnawala bus stop, which is close to the orphanage. From there, it's a short walk to the entrance.
