Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the Kandy Lake, head south towards the main road (Sri Dalada Veediya). Upon reaching the road, turn left and walk along it for about 500 meters. You will see the entrance to Sri Dalada Maligawa on your right. It is marked by a large gate and is located near the historic Kandy Lake.

Tuk-Tuk
From your location in Kandy, hire a Tuk-Tuk and ask the driver to take you to Sri Dalada Maligawa. Most drivers are familiar with the temple, so you can simply say 'Temple of the Tooth' or 'Sri Dalada Maligawa'. The ride should take about 10 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off at the entrance.

If you are near the Kandy bus station, you can take a local bus heading towards 'Peradeniya' and ask the conductor to let you know when you reach the stop for 'Sri Dalada Maligawa'.
