Getting There

  • Car

    From Kegalle town, take the A1 road (Main road towards Colombo). After approximately 5 km, take a left turn onto the Kegalle-Rambukkana Road (B299). Continue straight for about 10 km until you reach the junction at Rambukkana. At this junction, turn right onto the Kegalle-Rambukkana Road (B299) and follow the signs towards Budumaloka Waterfall. The waterfall is located about 6 km from the junction. There is limited parking available near the waterfall entrance.

    From Kegalle town, take a bus heading towards Rambukkana (approximately LKR 30). The bus ride takes about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at Rambukkana, look for a local bus or tuk-tuk heading towards Budumaloka Waterfall. The fare for the tuk-tuk is around LKR 200-300. If you take a local bus, it may take longer and cost around LKR 50, but it could be less frequent.
