Car
From Kitulgala, head northeast on the A7 highway. Continue for about 5 km until you reach a junction. Take a left turn onto the B528 road. Continue on this road for approximately 3 km, where you will see signs directing you towards Galboda. Turn right onto the gravel road leading to Galboda Waterfall. Park your vehicle at the designated parking area, and proceed on foot for the last 1 km to the waterfall. The path is well-trodden but may be uneven in places, so be cautious.
Public Transportation
From the center of Kitulgala, take a local bus heading towards Galboda. The bus will take you towards the B528 road. Ask the conductor to drop you off at the nearest stop for Galboda Waterfall. Once you disembark, you may need to walk about 1 km along the gravel path to reach the waterfall. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct and comfortable option, you can hire a taxi from any point in Kitulgala. Discuss the fare with the driver beforehand, as it may vary. The drive to Galboda Waterfall will take about 10-15 minutes. The driver can drop you off at the closest access point, from which you will need to walk about 1 km to the waterfall.
