Car
From Kitulgala, drive towards the Laxapana Falls. Head north on the A7 highway, following the signs for Nuwara Eliya. After approximately 10 kilometers, look for a sign indicating Laxapana Falls. Turn onto the road leading to the falls. The drive will take about 20-25 minutes. The parking area is nearby, but be prepared for a short walk to reach the falls.
Public Transportation
Take a local bus from Kitulgala to Nuwara Eliya. Buses leave frequently from the main bus station in Kitulgala. The fare is approximately 50 LKR. After about a 30-minute ride, get off at the Laxapana Falls stop. From there, it's a short walk (about 1 kilometer) to the falls. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions.
Walking
If you are already in Kitulgala and prefer to walk, head to the A7 highway and follow it north towards Nuwara Eliya. The walk to Laxapana Falls is approximately 10 kilometers and may take around 2 hours. Ensure to carry water and wear comfortable shoes, as the path may be uneven in parts.
