Car

If you are driving from the center of Matara, head south on the A2 highway towards Dondra. Continue for approximately 10 km until you reach the town of Dondra. Look for signs directing you to Dondra Head. Once in Dondra, turn onto Port Access Road and follow the road until you reach Dondra Head. Parking is available near the lighthouse area.

Public Transportation

To reach Dondra Head using public transport, you can take a bus from Matara to Dondra. Buses frequently depart from the Matara Bus Station, and the fare is around 50 LKR (Sri Lankan Rupees). Once you arrive in Dondra, ask locals for directions to Port Access Road. It's a short walk from the bus stop to the Dondra Head area, where you can enjoy the views and visit the lighthouse.

Tuk-Tuk

For a more convenient option, you can hire a tuk-tuk from Matara to Dondra Head. Negotiate the fare beforehand; it typically costs around 600 to 800 LKR. The ride will take about 20 minutes. The tuk-tuk driver can drop you off directly at the entrance of Dondra Head.
