Walking
If you are in the center of Matara, start by heading south towards the coast along Galle Road (A2). After approximately 2.5 kilometers, you will see the turn-off for Rekawa. There will be signage along the way. Turn onto Rekawa Road and continue for about 1 kilometer until you reach the Rekawa Turtle Beach entrance.

Tuk-Tuk
From Matara town, you can hire a tuk-tuk easily from any of the local stands. Ask the driver to take you to Rekawa Turtle Beach, which is roughly 4 kilometers away. Just tell them it’s near the Rekawa Road junction, and they will know the exact location. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.

Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle in Matara. Head south on Galle Road (A2) and keep cycling for about 2.5 kilometers until you reach the Rekawa Road turn-off. Turn right onto Rekawa Road and continue cycling for another kilometer until you arrive at the beach. The ride is relatively flat and offers beautiful coastal views.
