Getting There

Walking
From the center of Mirissa, start at the Mirissa Beach road. Head towards the beach and walk along the shoreline. You will see Parrot Rock directly in front of you as you approach the beach area. The rock is easily identifiable as it rises prominently from the ocean. To reach the rock, continue walking along the beach towards the left (south direction) until you reach the base of the rock. Be cautious as the water can come up the beach depending on the tide.

If you are near the Mirissa Fisheries Harbor, make your way towards Mirissa Beach. Once you reach the beach, turn left and walk along the shoreline heading south. You will soon see Parrot Rock in the distance. Continue walking until you reach the rock. The path might involve some sandy areas, so wear appropriate footwear.

From the main road (Galle-Matara Road), locate the entrance to Mirissa Beach. Walk down the path leading to the beach. Once you arrive at the beach, walk to your right (north direction) along the shore. Parrot Rock will be visible as you approach the water. This route will take you directly to the foot of the rock.
