    Getting There

    Walking

    From the center of Mirissa, head east towards the Mirissa Beach. Walk along the beach road, keeping the ocean on your right side. Continue walking for about 30 minutes until you reach the fork in the road. Take the left path at the fork, which leads you inland. Follow this road straight for approximately 15 minutes until you see signs directing you to Unawatuna. You will pass a few small local shops and cafes. After following the signs, you will arrive in Unawatuna, where you can explore the beach and nearby attractions.

    Tuk-tuk

    From any location in Mirissa, you can easily find a tuk-tuk driver. Just ask any local or look for a tuk-tuk parked nearby. Negotiate the fare to Unawatuna, which should typically be around 500-700 LKR. The ride will take about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. You will be dropped off near the Unawatuna beach area, where you can enjoy the scenery and local amenities.

    Public Bus

    Head to the main road in Mirissa, where you will find a bus stop. Look for a bus heading towards Galle or Matara. The fare is very inexpensive, usually around 50 LKR. Once on the bus, inform the conductor that you are going to Unawatuna. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Unawatuna, get off at the main bus stop, and you will be just a short walk from the beach.
