Getting There

    If you are driving, you can navigate to the Dutch Fort in Mullaitivu District using the following directions: Start from the center of Mullaitivu town and head south on the A35 road towards the coast. Continue on this road for approximately 5 kilometers. After passing the Mullaitivu Hospital, look for a small sign directing you towards the fort. Turn right onto a dirt road and drive for about 1 kilometer until you reach the fort. There is limited parking available near the entrance.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach the Dutch Fort using public transportation, first take a local bus from Mullaitivu town to the nearest bus stop along the A35 road heading south. The fare is typically around 30 LKR. Get off at the stop near Mullaitivu Hospital. From there, you can either walk about 1 kilometer towards the coast along the A35 road, or you can hire a three-wheeler (tuk-tuk) for a short ride, which should cost around 200 LKR. The three-wheeler can drop you near the entrance of the fort.
