From Negombo, head to the main bus terminal located on Colombo Road (also known as the A3 road). Look for buses heading towards Colombo or Dehiwala. The fare is usually around 50-100 LKR. Once on the bus, inform the conductor that you want to get off at Dehiwala. The journey takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic. After reaching Dehiwala, walk to the main road and head south for about 10 minutes until you see the entrance to Colombo Zoo on your left.

Tuk-Tuk
You can hire a tuk-tuk from anywhere in Negombo. Negotiate the fare beforehand; it should be around 1500-2000 LKR. The driver will take you directly to Colombo Zoo. The trip takes about 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
