Walking
Starting from Negombo Railway Station, exit the station and head south on Station Road. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the main road, Colombo - Negombo Road (A3). Cross to the other side and continue walking along the footpath in the same direction. After 200 meters, turn left onto Kammalthota Road. Continue straight for approximately 800 meters. The Hamilton Canal last viewpoint is located at No. 59 Kammalthota, which will be on your right. Look for the canal and enjoy the scenic view.

If you prefer a tuk-tuk, you can easily find one near popular areas like the Negombo Beach or the main market. Simply tell the driver to take you to 'Kammalthota, No. 59'. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive, you’ll see the Hamilton Canal last viewpoint nearby.
