Walking
If you are in the central area of Negombo, head towards the main street known as Lewis Place. Walk northward until you reach the intersection with Colombo Road (A3). Turn right onto Colombo Road and continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer. You will pass several shops and local eateries along the way. As you approach the coast, keep an eye out for the large structure of the Negombo Dutch Fort, which will be on your left.

Tuk-Tuk
Find a Tuk-Tuk near your current location. You can ask the driver to take you to 'Negombo Dutch Fort'. Most drivers are familiar with this landmark. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to negotiate the fare before you start your journey. The Tuk-Tuk will drop you off right outside the fort entrance.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Negombo. Start from the beach area and cycle towards the main road. Follow the directions for walking: head towards Lewis Place, then turn right onto Colombo Road. The fort is approximately 1 kilometer from the beach area. Cycling will allow you to enjoy the local scenery. Just be cautious of the traffic.
