If you are staying near Negombo Beach, start by walking towards the main coastal road, also known as Lewis Place. Once you reach the road, turn left and continue walking along the beach. After about 10-15 minutes, you will come to the intersection with St. Anthony's Church on your right. Keep walking straight until you reach the busy intersection at the Negombo Fish Market. Cross the street carefully, and you will see the market bustling with activity. From here, head straight down Main Street (also known as Colombo Road) for about 1 km. You will pass various shops and restaurants. Keep an eye out for signposts indicating the direction to the Fort. When you reach the roundabout, take the second exit onto the road leading to Church Street. Continue for another 500 meters, and you will find Negombo Dutch Fort on your left.

Tuk-Tuk
If you prefer a quicker route, you can hire a tuk-tuk from your hotel or a nearby tuk-tuk stand. Simply tell the driver 'Negombo Dutch Fort' or show them the location on your phone. The ride should take about 10 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will take you directly to the fort entrance. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey.

For a more adventurous route, consider renting a bicycle from one of the local shops. Start at Negombo Beach and bike along the coastal road, enjoying the sea breeze. After about 15 minutes, you will reach the Negombo Fish Market. From there, continue biking on Main Street, passing shops and restaurants. When you reach the roundabout, take the second exit onto Church Street. The fort will be about 500 meters ahead on your left. Make sure to wear a helmet and stay aware of traffic.
