Getting There

  • Bus

    From Nuwara Eliya, head to the main bus stand located at the center of the town. Look for a bus heading towards Kuruwita or Ratnapura. These buses typically depart every 30 minutes. The journey will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at Bopath Falls. The bus will drop you near the entrance to the falls.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    Alternatively, you can hire a tuk-tuk from Nuwara Eliya. Negotiate the fare before starting your journey. The ride to Bopath Falls from Nuwara Eliya will take around 1 hour, depending on traffic. The driver will take you directly to the entrance of the falls.

  • Walking

    If you are adventurous and fit, you can walk part of the way. Take the road from Nuwara Eliya to the main highway (A5). From there, walk towards the Kuruwita bus stand, which is about 6 km away. Once at the bus stand, you can either catch a bus to Bopath Falls or continue walking, as the falls are approximately 5 km from the Kuruwita bus stand. Follow the signs along the road to reach Bopath Falls.
