Getting There

Walking
If you are in the central area of Nuwara Eliya, start by heading towards the famous Nuwara Eliya Post Office. From there, walk down towards the main street, and continue straight until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left fork which leads you onto the Upper Lake Road. Follow this road for approximately 1 kilometer, enjoying the views of the lush greenery. Keep an eye out for signposts directing you to Lake Gregory. As you approach the lake, you will notice the entrance to the park area on your right.

Tuk-Tuk
For a more convenient option, you can hire a tuk-tuk from anywhere in Nuwara Eliya. Simply tell the driver 'Lake Gregory' or show them the location on a map. The ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will take you directly to the entrance of the lake area. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey.
