If you are driving from the Polonnaruwa town center, head southeast on Main Street (A11) for about 3 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to the Polonnaruwa Ancient City. After passing the entrance to the site, continue straight until you reach the Hatadage. The site is located at approximately W2X2+4GV, Polonnaruwa. There is no parking fee, but ensure you park in designated areas.

Public Transportation
To reach Hatadage by bus, take a local bus from the Polonnaruwa Bus Station that heads towards the Polonnaruwa Ancient City. Buses run frequently, and the fare is about 30 LKR (Sri Lankan Rupees). Once you arrive at the entrance of the ancient city, you can either walk to Hatadage, which is about a 10-15 minute walk from the entrance, or hire a tuk-tuk for around 150 LKR to take you directly to Hatadage.
