Walking
If you are starting from the Polonnaruwa Archaeological Museum, exit the museum and turn left onto the main road (New Town Road). Walk straight for about 500 meters until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Bypass Road. Continue walking for another 300 meters, and then turn right onto a smaller road (you will see signs for the Council Chamber). Walk for about 200 meters, and you will find the Council Chamber on your left.

Bicycle
From the Polonnaruwa Bus Station, rent a bicycle and head east on New Town Road. Cycle for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Bypass Road and continue cycling for about 300 meters. Turn right onto the smaller road, following the signs for the Council Chamber. After about 200 meters, the Council Chamber will be on your left. This route is mostly flat and suitable for all cyclists.

Tuk-Tuk
If you are near the Polonnaruwa Old Town, find a tuk-tuk driver and tell them you want to go to the Council Chamber (W2V2+4PH). The driver should take you via New Town Road, passing by the archaeological sites. The journey should take around 10 minutes, depending on traffic. Ensure you confirm the price before starting your ride. The tuk-tuk will drop you off right outside the Council Chamber.
