At the junction, turn right onto New Town Road. Walk for about 500 meters, and you will see the entrance to the Polonnaruwa Ancient City on your left. Proceed through the entrance; the Hatadage is located within the ancient city area. Follow the signs to Hatadage, which is situated a short walk from the main pathways.

From the Polonnaruwa bus station, rent a bicycle and head west on the Main Street. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the entrance to the Polonnaruwa Ancient City. Once inside, follow the signs that lead to Hatadage, which is a short ride away from the entrance along the paved paths within the ancient site.
