Proceed through the entrance; the Hatadage is located within the ancient city area. Follow the signs to Hatadage, which is situated a short walk from the main pathways.

    From the Polonnaruwa bus station, rent a bicycle and head west on the Main Street. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the entrance to the Polonnaruwa Ancient City. Once inside, follow the signs that lead to Hatadage, which is a short ride away from the entrance along the paved paths within the ancient site.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    From your hotel in Polonnaruwa, ask for a tuk-tuk to take you to Hatadage. Provide the driver with the address: W2X2+4GV, Polonnaruwa. The ride should be relatively short, taking about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The tuk-tuk will drop you off at the entrance to the Polonnaruwa Ancient City, and from there, you can either walk or ask the driver to take you directly to Hatadage.
