If you are driving, head towards Ratnapura town. From Ratnapura, take the Colombo-Ratnapura road (A4) and continue for about 10 km until you reach a junction. Turn left onto the Balangoda Road (B21). Drive for approximately 8 km until you see a sign for Bolthumbe Waterfall. Follow the sign and take a right onto a smaller road that leads to the waterfall. There might be some parking available near the entrance.

To reach Bolthumbe Waterfall by public transport, start by taking a bus from Ratnapura to Balangoda. Buses run frequently and the journey takes about 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive in Balangoda, you can either hire a tuk-tuk or a taxi to take you to Bolthumbe Waterfall, which is approximately 6 km away from Balangoda town. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your ride.
