    If you're starting from the Sigiriya village center, head south on the main road (Dambulla - Sigiriya Rd) for about 1 kilometer. You'll see signs directing you towards Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Continue walking until you reach the entrance to the Sigiriya archaeological site, where you'll need to purchase your ticket. From the ticket booth, follow the clearly marked path leading to the Sigiriya Rock. The entrance is about 500 meters from the ticket booth. Ascend the rock via the stone steps, which can be steep in places. As you climb, take your time to enjoy the frescoes and views. At the top, you'll find the ruins of the ancient palace, where you can explore the remains and take in the panoramic views of the surrounding area.

    For a quicker and more comfortable option, you can hire a tuk-tuk from anywhere in Sigiriya. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Sigiriya Rock Fortress. The ride should take about 5 minutes from the village center. Once you arrive at the entrance, pay for your ticket and head down the path to the rock. After your visit, you can ask the tuk-tuk driver to wait for you or arrange for them to return at a specific time to take you back.
