Car
If you are driving from Trincomalee town, head southeast on Main Street (A12) and follow the signs towards the beach area. Continue on A12 for approximately 5 km until you reach the junction at the Trincomalee Fort. Turn left onto Kandy Road (B427) and follow it for about 2 km. You will see signs for Coral Cove Beach. Turn right onto Coral Cove Road and continue for another 1 km until you reach the beach parking area. Parking may incur a nominal fee, so keep some cash handy.
Public Transportation
From Trincomalee bus station, take a local bus heading towards Uppuveli or Nilaveli. The bus ride will cost around 50 LKR and will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Coral Cove Beach stop, which is well-marked. From the bus stop, it's a short walk of about 500 meters to the beach. Be sure to check the bus schedule as services may vary throughout the day.
Tuk-Tuk
For a more convenient option, hire a tuk-tuk from any location in Trincomalee. Negotiate the fare beforehand; typical rates to Coral Cove Beach range from 300 to 500 LKR, depending on your starting point. The journey will take about 15-20 minutes from the town center. Ensure you agree on the return fare as well, as tuk-tuks may not always be available for the return trip.
