If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Trincomalee city center. Head southeast on Trincomalee Hwy (A6) towards Kinniya. Continue along the highway for approximately 15 kilometers. You will pass through Kinniya town and will see signs directing you to Kinniya Bridge. The bridge is located just off the main road; you can park your vehicle nearby.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from Trincomalee bus station heading towards Kinniya. Buses are frequent and the fare is approximately 30-50 LKR. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you reach the Kinniya bus stop, you can walk to Kinniya Bridge, which is about 1 kilometer from the bus stop. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions to the bridge.
Tuk-Tuk
Another convenient option is to hire a tuk-tuk from Trincomalee. Negotiate a fare (around 500-700 LKR) for a round trip to Kinniya Bridge. The journey should take around 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at the bridge, the tuk-tuk driver can wait for you or return at a specified time.
