If you are driving, head east on the A12 road towards Nilaveli. Continue on the A12 until you reach the junction with Nilaveli Road. Turn left onto Nilaveli Road. The Commonwealth War Cemetery will be on your left at the coordinates J687+39P, approximately 5 km from the center of Trincomalee. There is no entry fee to visit the cemetery, and parking is available along the road.
Public Transportation
To reach the Commonwealth War Cemetery by public transport, take a bus from Trincomalee town center heading towards Nilaveli. Buses frequently depart from the main bus station. Inform the driver that you wish to visit the Commonwealth War Cemetery. The journey takes around 30 minutes. Get off at the stop nearest to Nilaveli Road and walk approximately 500 meters back towards the cemetery, which will be on your left. The bus fare is usually around 30 LKR.
Taxi
