Walking
If you are starting from the Trincomalee Town Center, head northeast on Main Street toward Kandy Rd. Continue straight for about 1 km until you reach the junction with Nilaveli Rd. Turn left onto Nilaveli Rd and walk for approximately 1.5 km. You will see the Trincomalee War Cemetery on your right at 300 Nilaveli Rd. The cemetery is well signposted, so keep an eye out for the signs.
Tuk-tuk
If you prefer a quicker option, you can hire a tuk-tuk from anywhere in Trincomalee. Simply tell the driver 'Trincomalee War Cemetery' or show them the address '300 Nilaveli Rd'. The ride from Trincomalee Town Center should take about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off right at the entrance of the cemetery.
Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Trincomalee. Start from the town center and head northeast on Main Street. Continue until you reach the junction with Nilaveli Rd. Turn left and cycle along Nilaveli Rd for about 1.5 km. The cemetery will be on your right. There are bike racks available near the entrance for you to secure your bicycle while you explore.
