From the main beach area of Unawatuna, head east along the coast towards the Unawatuna Beach Road. Continue walking along the beach until you reach the end of the shoreline. Look for the Devala Road sign and take a right turn at the intersection. Follow Devala Road for about 500 meters until you see a pathway leading down to the water. This pathway will take you directly to Lord Nelson Reef, located at approximately 263W+X68.

Find a tuk-tuk near the main beach area or ask your hotel to arrange one for you. Tell the driver to take you to Devala Road in Unawatuna. The destination is approximately 1 kilometer from the beach area, so it should be a short ride. Once you arrive at Devala Road, look for the pathway leading down to Lord Nelson Reef. The driver can drop you off at the closest point to the pathway.
