Getting There

  • Walking

    From Unawatuna Beach, head towards the main road (Galle - Matara Road) and turn left onto the road. Walk straight for about 500 meters until you reach the junction near the Unawatuna Railway Station. Continue walking straight, passing by local shops and eateries on your left. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will see a sign for 'Yatagala Temple' on your right. At this point, take the right turn towards the Yatagala Temple. Continue down this road for about 800 meters until you reach a small path on your left that leads towards The Paddy Island. Follow this path, and you will arrive at The Paddy Island.

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Unawatuna. Begin your ride by heading towards the main road (Galle - Matara Road) and take a left. Continue cycling straight for around 1.5 kilometers. You will pass by the Unawatuna Railway Station on your left. Continue until you reach the junction with the Yatagala Temple sign on your right. Turn right here and cycle down this road for about 800 meters. Look for the small path on your left that leads to The Paddy Island. Follow this path to reach your destination.
