You will pass several local shops and lush greenery along the way. Keep an eye out for a small parking area on your right, which is typically where visitors park to access the waterfall.

    For those using public transportation, take a bus heading to Wellawaya from major towns in Uva Province like Badulla or Ella. Upon reaching Wellawaya, get off at the main bus stand. From there, you can hire a tuk-tuk or a local taxi to take you to Alikote Ara, which is about 7 kilometers away from the bus stand. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey; typical rates are around 500-800 LKR.
