Car
If you are driving, head towards Koslanda on the Colombo - Batticaloa Highway (A4). From Wellawaya, continue on the A4 until you reach Koslanda. Look for the landmark location P2MJ+7H3 in Koslanda. Once you arrive at the coordinates, park your vehicle at a safe spot along the roadside. Be prepared for a short hike to reach the base of Diyaluma Falls.
Public Transportation
To reach Diyaluma Falls via public transportation, start by taking a bus to Wellawaya from any major town in Uva Province. Once you arrive in Wellawaya, transfer to a local bus heading towards Koslanda. Ask the bus conductor to let you know when you reach the P2MJ+7H3 landmark in Koslanda. From there, you will need to walk for about 1 km to reach the falls. Make sure to carry some cash for bus fares, which typically range between LKR 50-100.
Taxi or Ride-Sharing
For a more comfortable and direct route, consider hiring a taxi or using a ride-sharing app if available. Simply provide the driver with the coordinates P2MJ+7H3, Koslanda. The ride from Wellawaya should cost approximately LKR 1000-1500 depending on the distance and time of day. The driver can drop you off near the entrance to the hiking path leading to the falls.
