If you're traveling by car, head towards the town of Badulla, which is a central point in Uva Province. From Badulla, take the A5 road towards Ella. After about 20 kilometers, look for a sign for Lanka Ella. Turn onto the road leading to the waterfall, which is approximately 5 kilometers off the main road. The last stretch may have some unpaved sections, so drive carefully. Parking is available near the waterfall.

Public Transportation
To reach Lanka Ella by public transportation, take a bus from Badulla to Ella. Buses leave frequently from the Badulla bus station and the trip takes about 30 minutes. Once in Ella, you can hire a tuk-tuk to take you to Lanka Ella Waterfall. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand, which typically costs around 500-800 LKR. The tuk-tuk ride will take another 15-20 minutes, and the driver can drop you off near the entrance to the waterfall.

If you're feeling adventurous and are already in Ella, you can hike to Lanka Ella. Start from Ella town and follow the trail leading towards the waterfall. The hike is approximately 3 kilometers and will take about 1 hour. The trail is scenic but may require good walking shoes. Be sure to carry water and stay hydrated during your hike.
