If you are driving from Colombo, take the E03 expressway towards Galle. Exit at the Wellawaya junction and follow the A2 road towards Yala National Park. Continue on the A2 for approximately 60 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Yala National Park. Once you enter the park, follow the signs for the one Pillars of Ancient Building. Note that there is an entrance fee for the park, which is approximately LKR 15,000 for foreigners. Ensure to have cash ready, as card payments may not be accepted.

Public Transportation
To reach the one Pillars of Ancient Building via public transport, take a bus from Colombo to Tissamaharama (Tissa). Buses leave from the Colombo Central Bus Station regularly and the journey takes about 5-6 hours. From Tissa, you can hire a tuk-tuk or taxi to the entrance of Yala National Park, which is around 20 kilometers away. Be prepared to pay for the park entrance fee, which is approximately LKR 15,000 for foreigners. It’s advisable to negotiate the tuk-tuk fare before starting your journey.

For a more convenient option, you can hire a taxi or use a ride-sharing service from Colombo to Yala National Park. This will offer you a direct route to the entrance of the park. The drive will take about 4-5 hours and costs will vary, but expect to pay around LKR 15,000 - 20,000 for a one-way trip. Once you arrive at Yala National Park, pay the entrance fee of approximately LKR 15,000 for foreigners to access the area where the one Pillars of Ancient Building is located.
