Car
If you are driving from Kandy, take the A26 road towards Gampola. After about 20 km, you will reach Gampola town. From here, follow the signs to the A1 highway and turn onto it heading towards Colombo. Continue on the A1 for approximately 10 km until you reach the exit for the B1 road towards Nawalapitiya. Follow the B1 road for around 18 km until you see signs for Galboda. Turn left onto the road leading to Galboda, and continue driving for about 5 km until you reach the parking area for Galboda Falls.
Public Transportation
From Kandy, take a bus to Gampola. Buses leave frequently from the Kandy bus station and the fare is approximately LKR 50. Once in Gampola, transfer to a bus heading to Nawalapitiya. The fare for this leg is around LKR 60. After reaching Nawalapitiya, take a tuk-tuk or a local bus to Galboda. The tuk-tuk ride will cost around LKR 300-500, while the local bus may charge about LKR 40. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Galboda Falls.
Walking
If you are already in Galboda village, you can walk to the falls. From the village center, take the path that leads towards the forest. Follow the signs for Galboda Falls. The walk is approximately 2 km and takes around 30 minutes. The path can be steep and uneven, so wear appropriate footwear and carry enough water for the trek.
