Buses are frequent, usually leaving every 15-30 minutes. The ride should take about 30-40 minutes. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off near the Neotropical Butterfly Park, as it is a popular stop.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Paramaribo and take the route towards Lelydorp. Start by heading southeast on 'Jules Wijdenboschbrug' bridge. Continue straight along the main road (Jules Wijdenboschweg) for approximately 15 km. The Neotropical Butterfly Park is located just off the main road in Lelydorp, easily recognizable by its entrance sign. The ride will take about 1-1.5 hours depending on your pace.
Walking
Walking to the Neotropical Butterfly Park from the center of Paramaribo is not recommended due to the distance (approximately 15 km) and lack of pedestrian paths. However, if you prefer this option, head south on 'Jules Wijdenboschweg' road. Follow the road straight all the way to Lelydorp. It will take several hours, so plan accordingly, and ensure you have water and sun protection.
