If you're driving from anywhere in Wanica District, take the main road towards Paramaribo. After approximately 15 kilometers, you will see a sign for Brownsberg. Turn onto the access road, which is a well-maintained gravel road leading directly to the park. The total driving time is about 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. Please note that there may be a small entrance fee for the park, so be prepared with cash.
Public Transportation
To reach Brownsberg using public transportation, start by taking a bus or minibus from Wanica to Paramaribo. Buses leave regularly from designated stops. Once in Paramaribo, you will need to catch a taxi or a local bus that heads towards Brownsberg. Make sure to inform the driver of your destination, as not all buses go directly to the entrance. The journey may take about 1.5 to 2 hours in total, including waiting times. Again, be prepared for the entrance fee at Brownsberg.
