If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the nearest major city, Gothenburg. Take the E6 highway north towards Kungälv. After about 30 km, take exit 88 towards Marstrand. Follow the signs for Marstrand, and continue on Route 168 until you reach the ferry terminal. Park your car at the terminal as cars are not allowed on the island. The ferry to Marstrand operates frequently, and the ticket costs around 70 SEK for adults. Once you arrive at Marstrand, follow the signs towards S:t Eriks Grotta, which is about a 30-minute walk from the ferry terminal.

For those using public transport, take a train from Gothenburg to Kungälv. From Kungälv, catch a bus to Marstrand (Bus 311 or 320), which typically runs every 30 minutes. The bus fare is approximately 50 SEK. After arriving at Marstrand, you can walk to S:t Eriks Grotta, which will take around 30 minutes. Look for signs that direct you towards the historical landmark.
