Car
If you are driving from Visby, head south on Södra Hansegatan towards Strandgatan. Continue onto Järnvägsgatan and follow the signs for Färja. Merge onto the E18 road and continue for about 5 km. Take the exit towards 621 and follow the signs for Traditional Wind Mill. The mill is located at 621 58 Visby. There is no parking fee near the windmill.
Public Transportation
From Visby, you can take bus number 1 from the main bus station (Busstation) towards the direction of Vibble. Get off at the stop called "Visby Söder". From there, it is about a 15-minute walk to Traditional Wind Mill. Walk south on Stora Torget, then turn right onto Strandgatan, and follow the signs towards the mill. Be sure to check the local bus schedule for the latest times.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Visby. Follow the same route as for the car, taking the E18 towards Färja. There are dedicated bike paths. The ride should take about 20-30 minutes depending on your cycling speed. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow traffic rules. There is no bike parking fee at the windmill.
Walking
For those who enjoy walking, you can start from Visby city center. It’s approximately a 45-minute walk. Head south on Södra Hansegatan, then continue on Järnvägsgatan. Follow the signs towards the E18 and take the path leading directly to Traditional Wind Mill. Ensure you're wearing comfortable shoes, as some paths may be uneven.
