Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving to Hoverbergs Cave from any location in Härjedalen, start by heading towards Svenstavik. You will want to take the E14 highway. From the center of Svenstavik, continue on the E14 for about 3 kilometers until you reach the exit for Balviken. Take this exit and follow the signs for Balviken. Once you arrive in Balviken, look for Balviken 555, which is the address of Hoverbergs Cave. There is parking available near the cave entrance.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take a bus to Svenstavik. Check the local bus schedules as there are limited services. Once you arrive at the Svenstavik bus station, you can either walk to Hoverbergs Cave, which is approximately 3 km away, or take a local taxi for a quicker option. If walking, head west on E14 until you reach the Balviken exit, then follow the signs to Balviken 555.

• Walking from Svenstavik

  If you prefer to walk from Svenstavik to Hoverbergs Cave, exit the bus station and head west on the E14 road. After about 2.5 kilometers, keep an eye out for the Balviken exit on your left. Follow the road signs directing you to Balviken, and you will soon reach Balviken 555, where the cave is located. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as the walk includes some unpaved paths.
