Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from any location in Närke, head towards E20 highway towards Örebro. Follow E20 until you reach the junction for E4 towards Stockholm. Continue on E4 following signs for Stockholm. As you approach the city, take the exit for 'Sundbyberg', then follow signs for 'Stockholm C' (Central). Once in the city, follow signs to the Gamla Stan area where Storkyrkan is located. There is limited street parking available, but public parking garages are nearby. Expect to pay around 25-40 SEK per hour for parking.

  • Train

    For public transportation, take a train from Närke to Stockholm Central Station (Stockholm C). Trains are frequent, and the journey typically takes about 2 to 2.5 hours. Once you arrive at Stockholm C, exit the station and take the T-bana (subway) line 19 towards Kungsträdgården. Get off at the 'Kungsträdgården' station. From there, it’s about a 10-minute walk to Storkyrkan. Follow the signs towards Gamla Stan, and you will find Storkyrkan at Trångsund 1.

  • Bus

    Alternatively, you can take a long-distance bus from various locations in Närke directly to Stockholm. Companies like FlixBus offer routes that may take around 3 to 4 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the bus terminal in Stockholm, you can walk or take public transportation to Gamla Stan. If you walk, it will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Otherwise, take the T-bana from 'T-Centralen' (near the bus terminal) to 'Gamla Stan'.
