Svampen, Örebro's distinctive mushroom-shaped water tower, stands 58 meters tall in the Norr district, holding 9 million liters of water. Built between 1956 and 1958 by architects Sune Lindström and Poul Kyhl, its massive 3,200-ton reservoir was hoisted into place using 32 hydraulic jacks at 58 cm per day. Originally replacing older towers, it now hosts the Skybar restaurant at the summit, drawing visitors for its engineering ingenuity and sweeping vistas.

From the altitude of 52 meters, the Skybar provides unobstructed 360-degree panoramas over Örebro's skyline, medieval castle, and the expansive Närke plains.
