Avicii Arena stands as the largest spherical building on Earth, with a diameter of 110 meters and an inner height reaching 85 meters. Completed in 1989, this architectural icon was originally named the Ericsson Globe before being renamed in honor of the renowned DJ Avicii. SkyView, launched in 2010, transformed the arena's west side into an extraordinary attraction. Engineers reinforced the structure with 42 metric tonnes of steel and installed 70 tonnes of external rails to support the custom glass gondolas, designed by a Swedish ski lift manufacturer. Each ride begins in a dedicated lounge where a short introductory video details the arena's history, construction challenges, and the panoramic sights awaiting above. Visitors then board one of two transparent gondolas, each accommodating up to 12 people with ample glass panels for unobstructed views in every direction. The inclined elevator glides smoothly upward for about three minutes, hugging the arena's exterior. At the summit, 130 meters above sea level, the gondola pauses for several minutes, enabling a full 360-degree sweep of the horizon before descending.

From the apex, the expansive view captures Stockholm's northern city center roughly 3.5 kilometers away, framed by the glittering waters of Lake Mälaren and the vast archipelago extending southward. On clear days, landmarks like Gamla Stan's spires, modern skyscrapers, and distant bridges come into sharp focus.
