Getting There

  • Public Transport - Metro and Bus

    Start your journey at T-Centralen, the main metro station in Stockholm. Take the Green Line (Line 19) towards Hagsätra. After 6 stops, get off at Slussen. From Slussen, follow the signs to the bus terminal. Board the bus number 469 towards Värmdö, which departs frequently. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes. You will arrive at the stop called Värmdö Centrum. From there, you can either walk or take a taxi to your desired location in Stockholms Skärgård.

  • Ferry

    From the city center, make your way to the ferry terminal at Slussen. Purchase a ticket at the ticket booth or on the SL app. Board the ferry to Vaxholm, which is a popular destination in the archipelago. The ferry ride lasts about 1 hour, and it offers scenic views of the islands. Once you reach Vaxholm, you can explore the area, or hop on another ferry that takes you further into the archipelago.

  • Train and Bus

    From Stockholm Central Station, take the commuter train (Pendeltåg) towards Västerhaninge or Nynäshamn. Get off at the station called Åkersberga. After exiting the train, find the bus stop for bus number 626 towards Värmdö. The bus will take you directly into Stockholms Skärgård. Make sure to check the bus schedule as it may vary throughout the day.
