If you are coming from a farther distance in Stockholm, take the Tunnelbana (subway) to Gamla Stan station. Upon exiting the station, follow the signs towards Gamla Stan's main square, Stortorget. Once you reach Stortorget, proceed to walk down Västerlånggatan as described above. The subway ticket costs around 45 SEK for a single journey.
