Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the Västerås Central Station, exit the station and head southeast on Centralplan toward Rådmansgatan. Continue straight on Rådmansgatan for about 700 meters until you reach the intersection with Djäknebergsgatan. Turn left onto Djäknebergsgatan and walk for about 300 meters. At the next intersection, turn right onto Slottet 1. The castle will be on your left, and it should take around 15 minutes to walk.

From the Västerås Central Station, take bus number 1 or 2 towards Vallby. The bus departs from the station frequently. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at the 'Slottet' stop. Once you exit the bus, walk a short distance straight ahead; Västerås Castle (Slottet 1) will be directly in front of you. The total travel time including waiting for the bus should be around 20-30 minutes.

For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops near the central station. Head east on Centralplan, then take a right on Rådmansgatan.
