If you are in the city center of Västerås, head east towards Karlsgatan. Walk along the main street, Stora Gatan, until you reach the intersection with Karlsgatan. Turn left onto Karlsgatan. Continue walking for about 600 meters. The Västmanland County Museum will be on your right at Karlsgatan 2.
Public Transport - Bus

From Västerås Central Station, take bus number 2 (direction: Vallby) from the bus stop located just outside the station. After 4 stops, get off at 'Karlsgatan'. Once you get off the bus, walk 200 meters east along Karlsgatan, and you will find the Västmanland County Museum on your right at Karlsgatan 2.
Bicycle

If you would like to bike, rent a bicycle from one of the bike-sharing stations around the city. Start from the city center and head towards Stora Gatan.
