Car
If you're driving, start on the E20 highway. From Gothenburg, head towards Skara and take the exit for Route 49 towards Varnhem. Continue for about 15 kilometers on Route 49 until you reach Varnhem. When you arrive in Varnhem, follow the signs to Axevallavägen. The Varnhem abbey ruins are located at Axevallavägen 10, 532 73 Varnhem. There is free parking available near the ruins.
Public Transportation
For public transport, take a train from Gothenburg to Skara. The train ride is approximately 1.5 hours. From Skara's train station, catch bus number 110 towards Varnhem. The bus ride will take about 25 minutes. Get off at the Varnhem stop. The abbey ruins are a short walk from the bus stop. Follow the signs towards Axevallavägen, and you will arrive at the abbey ruins in about 10 minutes.
Walking
If you are already in Varnhem, the abbey ruins are easily accessible on foot. From the Varnhem bus stop, head south on Varnhemsvägen, then take a left onto Axevallavägen. The abbey ruins will be on your right after a short walk of about 10 minutes.
