Car
From the center of Appenzell, head southwest on Bahnhofstrasse towards St. Gallen Strasse. Continue onto Hauptstrasse and follow the signs for the A1 motorway. Merge onto A1 towards Zurich. Take exit 69-Rapperswil and follow signs for Freienbach. Continue on Rapperswilerstrasse until you reach the shores of Lake Zurich. From there, you can take a ferry to Ufenau Island, which is a short ride away.
