From the cable car station, take the cable car to the Ebenalp mountain station. The ride takes about 5 minutes and offers stunning views. From Appenzell, take the bus number 12 towards Schwende, which departs from Appenzell Bahnhof. The bus ride takes about 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Ebenalp' bus stop. From there, follow the signs to the Ebenalp cable car station. Purchase a ticket for the cable car to Ebenalp mountain station (the round-trip ticket costs around CHF 20). The cable car ride takes about 5 minutes. Once at the top, follow the hiking trail towards Wildkirchli, which is approximately a 30-minute hike.
