Bus
From Ascona, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located at Piazza Giuseppe Motta. Catch the bus number 312 towards Riva San Vitale. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. After about 10 stops, disembark at the 'Riva San Vitale, Centro' stop. From there, walk towards the lake along Via Lugano for about 5 minutes, and you will reach Piazza del Ponte where Bar Riva Lago is located.

Make your way to the Ascona train station, which is a short walk from the main square. Board a train heading towards Lugano. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at the 'Lugano' station. From Lugano, transfer to a regional train towards Ponte Tresa. After about 15 minutes, get off at 'Riva San Vitale'. Once you arrive, walk for about 10 minutes towards Piazza del Ponte, and you will find Bar Riva Lago.
