Getting There

• Ferry

  From Lugano, make your way to the Lugano Ferry Terminal located on the lakeside at Piazza Rezzonico. You can easily reach the terminal by walking along the lakefront promenade or taking local buses to the stop 'Lugano, Stazione FS'. Once at the terminal, purchase a ticket for the ferry heading to Orta San Giulio. The ferry ride will take approximately 1.5 hours. Upon arrival at Orta San Giulio, follow the signs to the main dock. The Basilica di San Giulio is located on Isola S. Giulio, a short boat ride from Orta San Giulio. Look for local boats or shuttle services that can take you to the island.
