Getting there

Walking

Start at the Ascona Piazza. From the main square, head southeast towards the lakefront. Continue walking along the lakeside promenade, enjoying the scenic views of Lake Maggiore. After a short while, you will reach the road named Via delle Scuole. Turn left onto Via delle Scuole and follow it as it curves into Via Albarelle. Continue straight until you reach a fork in the path; take the right path which leads you up towards Sentiero Romano. Follow the trail signs for Sentiero Romano until you arrive at your destination.

Public Transport (Bus)

From the Ascona Bus Station, board the bus heading towards Locarno. Disembark at the stop named 'Ascona, Via Albarelle'. After exiting the bus, walk back down Via Albarelle until you see the sign for Sentiero Romano. Follow the path indicated by the signs to reach the starting point of the trail.

Bicycle (Rent a bike)

If you have rented a bicycle in Ascona, start from your rental location and head towards the lakeside promenade. Cycle along the promenade until you reach Via delle Scuole. Turn left onto Via delle Scuole, then follow it as it curves into Via Albarelle. Continue cycling straight until you reach the fork in the path; take the right path towards Sentiero Romano. Follow the signs to reach your destination.
